So I wanted to start looking at salons-preferably ones that do bridal party packages to help us unwind and relax before the craziness begins. Although I have learned that even with super planning the craziness can start at the salon ha ha ha. So I found Paul Mitchell who do make up for $11.95 and up-dos at about $30.00. Which sounds cheap but we did a school before and we were less than impressed.
This other place I found called pink & white salon http://www.pinkandwhitenails.com/Bridal1.html
It sounds like an absolute blast. We have our pick of services and they will even shut down the salon so we can have a little party with cupcakes and champagne for $500. Which is really reasonable for a bridal party package. I am 90% sure we can afford to do at least one hour as a treat for us girls. My biggest question that I emailed them was if we only want to rent it out for an hour but our services take longer than that do we have to pay for the extra time? We would have our services well under way by that point and I don't see it taking longer than 2.
Right now I'm just salon shopping. Nothing set in stone. I might go to each salon and pay for a practice (its like $25-$30) just to see if I like it and get all my questions out. Then two months out making the final arrangements :)!
UPDATE: So I heard back from the pink&white and we can rent it out for just an hour even if our services take longer-they will just open the doors. Sounds like the way to go if they can accommodate all of us at the same time. We would lose a ton of time if they don't have 6-8 stylist I'm thinking. My mom and Adams mom will probably be very quick. Mine shouldn't be too long either because I'm going very simple. *Squee* so excited. Need some of my girls to come with me for a test-I think its like $25 for a test do.
Well My dear, do it, try them out now and find the salon stylist you like and have that person do your package at your home, you can have them come to you and that way what they make is theirs not the salons. Shop smart, shop around. =D
ReplyDeleteIf I do it Salon location plays a big role because I'm almost out in beaverton/tigard and the venue is in SE. This salon is prime because its right across the river and much closer to our venue.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely going to check them out but this pink&white is probably the way I'll go if they have enough stylist to do all of us :).
