Hi people!! Last minute info!

Those going to the photos you know who you are:  For those not in the photos (look below) we will see you after we get hitched :)!!!
TIME: 11:30AM
Where: 5 SE MADISON ST PORTLAND, OR 97214; street parking is free, parking lot parking is 1.50/hr. For a picture of what it looks like click me!
We will do our darndest to be there by 11:15am but our photographers will be there at 11am they said setting up.

Don't forget there is construction on SE WATER ave near OMSI.  You will detour to a small street to your left off of Water ave.  In a very short distance you will come to a street near an industrial looking area-Look LEFT there will be the bottom of a bridge. LOOK RIGHT a gated area with a wide open gate.  That wide open gate is your entrance! It is across the street from the PORTLAND OPERA HOUSE.

There should be a sign stating PORTLAND SPIRIT OFFICES. There will be two levels of parking-parking down the hill to the right, parking almost immediately upon entering the gates. This is free to use as our guests.

More than likely we will be too busy to answer our phones.  So please take the time to click on the links listed to get directions via GOOGLE or MAPQUEST (GPS ETC). GOOGLE maps does not recognize the construction taking place so be aware of that before you leave home that mapquest may not either!

Important Information

Only a few days left. Very excited!!!! Can't wait to see everyone.

Here is the Map to the wedding venue at 110 SE Caruthers St, Portland, OR 97214.

Boarding does not begin until 1:45p and all people 18 and older must provide state or another form of legal ID.

It is probably  good idea to aim for 1:30p time wise.  That will give you time to get lost and mingle.  Water ave by OMSI is under construction and you will most likely be detoured to the left.  Follow that until the next street, this is Caruthers. Turn RIGHT onto caruthers and the office will be on your left.  You may park in the gravel lot up top as well as the spaces below.  Follow the signs to the boarding.

Hair and Makeup Trial

Had my trial today on my makeup and hair. It went really well! I'm really happy with how everything turned out.  I might "loosen" the look up a little with some hanging curls around my face to soften it up but I love how it all came out.

Less than a month, 24 days to be exact. I'm so excited!

SHOES! (and Purses)

I found shoes today and a purse.  Went into DSW for the first time and wow, its girl heaven. Purses, shoes, and wallets galore. Looks like I'm gonna be in flip flops lol!

I was resisting the idea of flip flops for a while-but I haven't found a shoe I've loved as much as these flip flops and its way more me than a pair of heels or any of the flats I've found.  Better to wear something I really like and I'm comfortable in-besides, everyone keeps telling me I get to wear what I want cuz I'm the bride after all. Plus, they're really cute!

Then I found this purse, OMG. Its SO adorable. Its gonna add a touch of color to my dress being silver but still fit in with the bits of silver I've incorporated into the wedding to break up the two shades of blue.

Less than a month to go!

I am SO excited! We are almost done with everything.  Got some ideas for bridal party gifts and will be ordering those soon and the last check will go to the venue on the first.  Then its a series of small things, hair, makeup, nails, oh and SHOES!

I am having a hard time finding shoes for the wedding. I saw these adorable ballerina flats but now its a popular bridal fashion so I can't find it under 60 bucks and most of them are 100+. You could buy these at Target about two years back for 20! So in the mean time the shoe hunt goes on and hopefully I can find something as adorable as these w/o spending too much dough!

Our Honeymoon Registration

The boat leaves the dock promptly at 2p and boarding begins at 1:45p. It is always a good idea to give yourself a little extra time, to get lost, for parking, to see the beautiful view of the Willamette, or to mingle with friends :).

Invitations!

The invitations got put in the mail this afternoon, they should be making their way out to family and loves ones soon :)!

The photographer is all paid off-YAY! Right now its just the ring and the venue that we have to pay for before the big day! Hair and makeup and all that other stuff too of course.

Salon!

So the update on the salon is that the other place cannot accomodate all of us. This one can and is about on par for the least expensive in the bunch and its close enough to everything that we hopefully wont be scrambling for time. I'll tell you how the practice went!

Wedding update!

It has been a long time since I have updated this, planning a wedding is hard work! Planning a wedding, working, and going to school...EEEP lol!

So with the exception of the cake everything else has had the down payments put on it.  The honeymoon is paid for (YAY!).  I feel like I am a little behind on the invites but as long as I'm done by April I should be ok according to the ettiquette books.

Excited to visit Maui again.  It would have been awesome if we could have afforded somewhere new but there could be worse things than spending five days in Maui in June with the man I love :D.
